This is a varied position where you’ll manage payroll for multiple businesses across different sectors, helping organisations keep their people paid correctly and on time while staying fully compliant with legislation.

What you’ll be getting stuck into as a Payroll Assistant
- Processing payroll for a portfolio of clients across different sectors and company sizes
- Ensuring compliance with current tax, pension and legislation
- Managing queries and providing clear guidance to clients
- Maintaining accurate records and employee data
- Producing reports for clients when required
- Coordinating with the wider accounts team to ensure data aligns with financial reporting
What you’ll bring to the table as a Payroll Assistant
- Previous experience processing payroll within a bureau or accountancy environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax and pension regulations
- Experience handling payroll queries and client communication
- Proficiency using relevant software such as Sage and Microsoft Excel
- Strong accuracy when working with payroll data and financial information
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (35-hour week) with flexitime.
