
Role: PFI General Manager
Location: East Midlands
Working pattern: Homebased with some travel ( Hybrid)
Package: Circa £85,000 + £7,500 car allowance + generous bonus
Full time Permenant role 37.5hr
We are appointing a PFI General Manager to take senior responsibility for a portfolio of long-term public sector infrastructure contracts.
The position covers operational PFI facilities management contracts across healthcare and education, with accountability for performance, governance, and long-term asset outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Ownership of the asset management strategy PFI projects
- Leadership of lifecycle planning, delivery, and optimisation, ensuring value for money and long-term asset integrity
- Oversight of statutory compliance, high-risk systems, and assurance, including performance against healthcare standards
- Senior stakeholder management across Trust, FM provider, SPV, and supply chain interfaces
- Governance of PFI obligations, including risk registers, audits, and performance reporting
- Commercial accountability, including budget control, lifecycle spend, and financial forecasting
- Leadership and development of multidisciplinary technical and operational teams
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience in PFI asset management or senior contract leadership within PFI facilities management or SPV environments
- Strong understanding of the PFI model, SPV governance, and lifecycle obligations
- Sound commercial acumen, with experience overseeing significant budgets and lifecycle programmes
- Confidence engaging at board and senior stakeholder level
