Planning and Highways Solicitor

Job Description:

Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a reputable local authority, based in Nottingham, which is looking to recruit an experienced Planning and Highways Solicitor with a strong focus on highways law. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to work on high-profile public sector matters that directly impact local infrastructure, development, and communities.
 
Role: Planning and Highways Solicitor
Location: Local Authority – Nottingham – hybrid
Umbrella Rate: £50-£55ph
PAYE Inc Rate: £44.10 - £48.44ph
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
 
Key responsibilities will include:

• Advising on highways law, including road adoption, stopping up, diversion orders, and Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs).
• Drafting and advising on Section 38 and Section 278 agreements.
• Supporting development and regeneration projects from a highways and planning perspective.

About you:

• 3+ years of PQE in Planning and Highways law as a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
• Have demonstrable experience in highways law within a local authority or public sector setting.
• Have a working knowledge of planning law and related legislation.
