The Role

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across Early Years and Key Stage 1/2. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting learning in class and helping children access lesson activities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support, including for pupils with additional needs

• Helping to create a positive, engaging and nurturing classroom environment

• Assisting with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy activities

• Supporting children’s social, emotional and behavioural development

• Helping to prepare learning resources and activities

• Assisting with general classroom duties and administrative tasks

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced working with young children (school or childcare experience preferred but not essential)

• Kind, patient, nurturing and able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils

• Confident communicating with staff, pupils and parents

• Creative, proactive and able to work well as part of a collaborative team

• Dedicated to helping children thrive and overcome barriers to learning
