Principal Development Management Officer

We’re seeking an experienced planning professional to manage complex development proposals and lead a team of officers delivering high-quality development management services.

You’ll handle major planning applications, negotiate with developers, prepare committee reports, and provide expert advice on planning matters. You’ll also mentor junior staff and contribute to service improvement and performance targets.

About you:

• Degree-qualified with eligibility for Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (or equivalent).

• Extensive knowledge of the English planning system and policy framework.

• Strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills, with experience handling complex planning cases.
