Job Description:

Principal Electrical Design Engineer - As a result of growing demands for our client’s range of bespoke locomotive diesel and battery engines focusing on zero emissions and an increasing number of exciting development programmes, they are seeking a talented Principal Electrical Design Engineer, who is looking for an opportunity to further their career at the cutting edge of electrical systems and support Current and New product design and development projects as required. 

As the Principal Electrical Design Engineer you will be part of a small but growing team, working on designs for locomotives and related products for the mainline, industrial, mining and tunnelling industries. These products range from 2 tonne to 150 tonne, powered by Diesel, electric, battery or hybrid technologies. 

Principal Electrical Design Engineer Role:

You will provide electrical design capability to engineering activities/projects and parameterisation of powertrain systems, with ideally experience in rolling stock or medium duty off highway sector.
