Principal Hydraulic Modeller

Job Description:

V7 are working with a close client in the Water Industry who due to exponential growth are looking for Principal Hydraulic Modellers to join the Team.

On offer is a salary of £54,000-£65,000 plus benefits and excellent progression opportunities.

The Role:
As a Principal Modeller, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality modelling solutions for a range of projects across the clean water and wastewater sectors. You’ll support planning, design, and operational decision-making using advanced modelling tools and hydrological analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage health, safety, quality, and environmental aspects of projects.
• Develop and deliver wastewater catchment strategies and solutions, including hydraulic modelling and analysis.
• Ensure quality outputs and compliance with standards and governance requirements.
• Oversee commercial performance, forecasting, and risk management.
• Produce bids and proposals.
• Lead a team to maintain strong client relationships and manage project team members.
• Drive continuous improvement of tools and processes for efficiency and innovation.
• Travel to client sites or other RPS/Tetra Tech offices as needed.

About You:

• Experience in urban drainage projects and technical leadership in wastewater catchment planning.
• Proficiency in InfoWorks ICM.
• Strong knowledge of water industry regulations and legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS 365 applications, including advanced Excel, PowerBI, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with GIS systems (MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS) and tools like FME, Optimatics, or Python is a plus.
