A well-established high street law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join their expanding team. Role Overview The successful candidate will manage a broad range of Private Client matters, working independently while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The role is fast-paced and offers the chance to work within one of the UK’s top firms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Handling Private Client cases involving wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, probate (including contentious probate), inheritance tax, and estate planning
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files in line with company policies
• Managing financial aspects of cases, including billing and cash flow
• Identifying and developing fee-earning opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules, the Code of Conduct, and Money Laundering Regulations
• Supervising junior fee earners and supporting their professional development
• Meeting job-related training and development targets

Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate will have:

• Solicitor qualification with 4+ years PQE in Private Client law
• A STEP qualification is highly desirable
• Comprehensive experience across all areas of Private Client law, including wills, trusts, LPAs, probate (contentious and non-contentious), inheritance tax, and estate planning
• Ability to manage cases accurately and independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• An existing professional network and a proactive approach to business development
• A self-motivated, clear-thinking approach with the ability to build strong client relationships
