Production Operative

Job Description:

Production Operative – Grantham – £25,000 - £28,000 PA
  
A practical and hands-on role operating processing and treatment equipment in a dynamic work environment. This Production Operative is a truly unique role which offers training and development opportunities, including forklift and industry certifications. If you enjoy a varied workload where each day brings a fresh challenge then this Monday to Friday role could be perfect for you.

Shifts can vary throughout the year dependent on seasonal needs of the business however are typically between the hours of 8am - 4pm.
 
Production Operative’s Key Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a dedicated multi-skilled team to oversee production across the site
• Operate intake, cleaning, and custom made machinery in line with safety and certification standards.
• Move, store, and manage stock bags using forklifts and warehouse systems.
• Collect and label representative samples for lab testing and certification.
• Maintain plant cleanliness, perform routine maintenance, and keep detailed production records.

  
Skills & Experience Required as a Production Operative:

• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team in a production or agricultural setting.
• Flexible with working hours and able to adapt to shift demands.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to following safety and quality procedures.
• Valid driver’s licence and basic computer literacy for record-keeping and system use.
• A mechanical aptitude and willingness to complete training (PA1, PA11, forklift certification) - Desirable
