Production Manager
Nottingham
Shift based -days/afters/nights
£50,000 - £55,000 + shift allowance

Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to announce we are working exclusively with a global manufacturer of aerospace components to recruit a Production Manager based at their site in Nottingham.

Reporting in to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will manage a team of approx. 20-30 skilled operatives operating a 2 or 3 shift pattern.

The Production Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee the production process, ensuring that all products are produced on time and within budget.
• Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
• Develop strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs across production.
• Create reports detailing performance metrics related to production output, cost savings initiatives, etc.
• Use Lean Manufacturing Principles to drive out waste and increase productivity.
• Performance management of team, ensuring company values are embedded, accountability is understood and continually promoting a safety first culture.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Demonstrable management experience within a complex manufacturing business
• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and able to motivate and direct a team
• Experience of deploying continuous improvement methodologies such as lean and six sigma, ideally with accreditation.
• Must be highly organised and able to prioritise workloads
• Has a proven track record delivering improved operational performance in both favourable and unfavourable conditions, utilising cross-functional teams
