Job Role: Team Leader - Food Manufacturing (Bakery Environment)
Location: Oakham
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (flexible depending on experience)
Shift: Rotating weekly - 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm

About the Company

Our client is a well-established, privately owned food manufacturer with a proud reputation for producing high-quality bakery products. With a strong focus on people, quality, and consistency, they continue to grow and invest in their teams.

They're now seeking a hands-on Team Leader to join the production team - someone with real supervisory experience in a bakery or similar food manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading and motivating your production team to deliver on targets while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise shift teams to achieve production and quality targets.
• Allocate tasks and ensure smooth workflow throughout your shift.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times.
• Monitor materials, reduce waste, and manage stock usage effectively.
• Complete accurate production and quality records.
• Coach and develop team members, managing basic performance issues where required.
• Support handovers between shifts to ensure continuity.

Requirements:

✅ Proven supervisory or team leader experience in food manufacturing.
✅ Strong background in a bakery or similar environment.
✅ Good knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and safety procedures.
✅ Excellent communication and leadership skills.
✅ Reliable, organised, and able to meet production goals under pressure.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with QA or HACCP systems.
• Experience operating or managing production machinery.
