Project Manager – Grid Connections

Our client is a major European and Uk solar energy contractors delivering a wide range of works around the continent.

They are looking to recruit a specialist connections project manager on a salaried basis to oversee a range of 132kv connections schemes,

The successful applicant will be acting in a leadership role, working closely with ICPs, DNO’s and IDNOs to oversee HV connection of charging systems to the grid. You will also be responsible for working with supply chain and design teams to execute project milestones, to programme and budget.

To apply for this role you must meet the following criteria:

• Experienced project manager with extensive experience working for ICPs
• DNO / IDNO experience is also essential
• You must have proven experience working on HV infrastructure up to 132kv
• You must be familiar with design processes and able to interpret design schematics
• Whilst this is not a commissioning role you must be familiar with testing and commissioning processes
• You must be familiar with legal processes such as wayleaves, easements and land access
• Ideally you will be degree qualified in electrical engineering
• Applicants must be autonomous, professional and comfortable dealing with senior industry stakeholders
• You must be based in the UK and fully eligible to work in the UK

The position is a remote role with site visits as required. You can therefore be based anywhere in the UK but with the bulk of the sites being near Leicester it would be preferable to be based relatively near to Leicestershire. For more information please apply below.
