Description

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently within the accounting system.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and execute payment runs in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to address queries.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
• Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable function.

Profile

A successful Purchase Ledger Assistant should have:

• Demonstrated experience working in a finance related role.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• An understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and colleagues.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
