Quality Auditor

Job Description:

Our client in Derby is recruiting for a Quality Auditor to join their team. In this role you will be key in ensuring the safety, legality, and quality of all products through systematic auditing, process verification, and compliance monitoring.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience with quality in an FMCG/Food environment. 
 
As the new Quality Auditor, you will:

• Conduct QA and QC checks across production, including temperature, weight, traceability, calibration, hygiene, and tasting.
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP and internal food safety and quality procedures.
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
• Maintain records for certification schemes (e.g., BRC, Red Tractor) and support site audits and customer visits.
• Provide feedback and support on training relating to hygiene, GMP, HACCP awareness, and Health & Safety.
• Communicate effectively with Production and QA leadership on key issues and developments.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives across quality standards and processes.

Requirements for this role:

• Preferably 1 years' experience in a similar QA or food manufacturing role
• Food Safety and/or Quality Systems training/certifications desirable
• Familiarity with BRC and food safety standards (preferred)
• IT literacy and the ability to maintain detailed records and reports
• Willingness to participate in meat tasting panels, including all species
