Job Description:
Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for our industry leading client in the Castle Donington area.
Duties
- Compliance with all pertinent Dynamic Aerospace Fabrications Ltd procedures and work instructions within the quality manual.
- Calibration – Control via Gagepack database, calibrated gauges, instruments, CMM’s, oven controls and surveys through 3rd party calibration suppliers
- Interpreting and understanding of drawings, work cards, specifications and other relevant technical documents.
- Writing / amending of procedures / work instructions as required.
- Control and review of specifications in conjunction with the Quality Manager including the update and filing as required.
- Carrying out Internal audits to AS9100/AS13100 in line with the internal audit plan.
- Manage customer returns & supplier corrective actions. Liaise with production personnel and supervision where required to feedback information relating to quality issues both internal and externally raised.
- Investigation into root cause of non-conforming product and the implementation of corrective and preventive action. 8D problem solving
- Communication with customers, supplier and 3rd Parties using internal or their specified documents.
- Active involvement in Continuous Improvement activities.
- Work in an accurate and timely fashion.
Experience
- Quality / Engineering background
- Experience in Root Cause tools (ideally 8D knowledge)
- Audit Experience – AS9100 internal auditor
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement techniques
- Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace
- Experience of working in Quality Assurance
- Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree, or ONC, A Levels, BTec Diploma
- Level 4 or equivalent NVQ level 4 qualification or equivalent experience
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday
7am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am-12pm Friday
or
8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-1pm Friday
