Job Title: Quality Inspector Nights

Location: Leicester
Salary: up to £17.50 per hour
Shift: Night shift - Monday to Thursday, 20:00 - 06:15

About the Company:
Our client is a leading tier-one component supplier, specialising in precision machining of mid-range cast iron parts such as sumps, flywheel housings, and flywheels. They are renowned for quality and reliability in the automotive supply chain.

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector Nights to join our night shift team. You'll ensure all components meet quality standards using automated and manual inspection methods, while supporting ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CMM and automated measurement software
• Conduct dimensional inspections and interpret measurement reports
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications
• Use hand tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges) for manual measurement
• Document non-conforming parts and support root cause analysis
• Maintain records and update BIANCA
• Ensure QA compliance, including rejects, rework, and gauges

Experience & Skills:

• Previous experience as a Quality Technician or Engineer preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on night shifts
