Quality Manager

Job Description:

Infinity Employment are seeking an experienced Quality Manager with gear or spline knowledge and AS9100 experience for a permanent position.

The team is a fast-paced, high-precision engineering environment. Key clients would be within the aerospace, automotive and F1 sector. This is a key leadership role focused on maintaining and enhancing our quality standards, with a strong emphasis on gear and spline manufacturing and compliance with AS9100.

You will be responsible for the overall management of the Quality Management System (QMS), internal and external audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to support our commitment to excellence in the aerospace and precision manufacturing sectors.

£55,000 - £60,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and maintain the company’s QMS to AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards

• Conduct and manage internal, external, and customer audits

• Develop quality plans, inspection criteria, and control documentation

• Oversee and support the inspection team in the measurement of gears, splines, and precision components

• Investigate and resolve non-conformances, implement corrective/preventive actions

• Manage First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102

• Collaborate with engineering, production, and customer teams to ensure quality objectives are met

• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across all quality functions

Essential experience:

•. Proven experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment (ideally aerospace or precision engineering)

• Strong understanding of gear and spline manufacturing processes

• In-depth knowledge of AS9100 (Rev D preferred) and ISO 9001 QMS

• Experience leading audits and maintaining compliance with industry standards

• Skilled in root cause analysis, FMEA, CAPA, and problem-solving methodologies

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
