Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Highways Maintenance Framework

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team delivering a highways maintenance framework across Leicestershire. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a long-term infrastructure programme focused on maintaining and improving the local road network.

You will play a key role in commercial management, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of highways maintenance projects
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
• Administer contracts in line with NEC (or similar) conditions
• Assess, manage, and process subcontractor payments
• Monitor project costs and identify risks/opportunities
• Prepare and agree interim valuations and final accounts
• Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and client requirements
• Provide regular financial reporting to senior management

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within highways or infrastructure maintenance
• Good understanding of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 preferred)
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain relationships
• Proficient in cost management and reporting tools
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Membership of RICS or working towards chartership (desirable)
