Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:

Our client is a well-established specialist contractor with experience delivering end-to-end solutions in wet civil engineering and environmental maintenance, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in East Midlands.

This role will play a key part in ensuring the successful financial and contractual management of projects across the business.

Key Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor:

• Take ownership of the commercial performance of allocated projects.

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

• Produce detailed budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow reports.

• Lead the procurement process for subcontractors and suppliers.

• Promote and ensure compliance with environmental standards and sustainable practices.

• Manage valuations, applications for payment, and maintain accurate commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience Required for Quantity Surveyor:

• The successful candidate will demonstrate strong professional values and a collaborative approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

• Proven experience in commercial management within construction, civil engineering, or a similar sector.

• Solid understanding of contracts, cost control, and financial management.

• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships confidently, fairly, and professionally.

• Strong attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

• Chartered status (RICS/ICES) or actively working towards chartership.
