About The Role & Who We’re Scouting

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Recruitment and Onboarding Advisor to join our squad at Leicester City Football Club. As our Recruitment and Onboarding Advisor, you’ll play a key role in leading and effectively managing the full end-to-end hiring process, including onboarding. 

Your responsibilities will include:

Recruitment & Hiring Process

• Lead end-to-end recruitment, from sourcing and screening to interviews, offers and onboarding.
• Work with hiring managers to define role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and realistic timelines.
• Coach hiring managers on effective, inclusive, and structured recruitment practices.
• Write strong job descriptions and ads aligned with the club’s brand and values.
• Use a range of sourcing methods (job boards, LinkedIn, direct outreach, etc.) to attract top talent.
• Organise and run assessment days when needed.
• Act as a brand ambassador to promote the club’s culture and values.

ATS (Applicant Tracking System) Management & Reporting

• Develop and maintain reporting on key hiring metrics, using insights to improve processes.
• Embed best practices for using the external ATS, ensuring consistent workflows and accurate data.
• Serve as the main contact for the ATS provider and oversee system improvements and adoption.
• Regularly review ATS performance, identify opportunities for automation or simplification, and coordinate enhancements with internal teams.

Onboarding & Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with HR operations and Payroll teams to ensure smooth transitions from hiring to onboarding and payroll setup.
• Support the HR team in shaping onboarding and induction processes for a seamless new-hire experience.
• Provide training to managers on recruitment methods aligned with club policies and best practices.
• Deliver excellent service to candidates during onboarding to ensure all requirements are completed efficiently.

HR & Talent Initiatives

• Contribute to wider HR priorities such as employer branding, internal mobility, and DEI-focused hiring initiatives.

The ideal candidate will:

• Strong track record in full-cycle recruitment, partnering effectively with hiring managers and enhancing hiring processes.
• Skilled in improving recruitment practices, building manager capability, and optimising ATS systems.
• Experience contributing to onboarding, HR operations, employer branding, internal mobility and DEI initiatives.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to build trusted relationships at all levels.
• Confident coach who can challenge and guide hiring managers to improve quality and accountability.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and systematic, while maintaining a positive and energetic approach.
• Knowledgeable in recruitment best practices, interview techniques and legal requirements.
• Dedicated to creating a strong candidate and hiring manager experience, and comfortable adapting in dynamic or ambiguous environments.
