Refrigeration Technician

Job Description:

Elevation Recruitment Group's Engineering Services Division is supporting a fantastic business as they grow their Fleet Service Team at the Derbyshire site. 

The Refrigeration Technician will report to the Head of Fleet and work as part of a skilled vehicle engineering team, providing them with specialist support for the Maintenance and Repair of Vector Refrigeration equipment used on large distribution vehicles and trailers. The role will be split between the Vehicle Service Centre and covering a local customer patch on a call-out basis.

Role duties for the Refrigeration Technician include:

• Installation, servicing, and repair of vehicle powered road transport refrigeration units both in the workshop and visiting local customer sites
• To liaise with central control and the service centre for timely resolution to ppm or reactive maintenance on the refrigeration units
• Take the lead in resolving maintenance repairs and troubleshooting mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical issues
• Collaborate with the vehicle maintenance team by providing valuable insights from the field and suggesting innovative ways to enhance product repairability, contributing directly to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction

Qualifications & Experience required for the Refrigeration Technician role include:

• Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and diagnostics for refrigerated trailers, HVAC, or related systems on commercial fleet vehicles
• The ability to carry out mechanical and electrical field and workshop-based tasks
• F-GAS category 1
• A valid UK driver’s license (manual)
