Registered General Nurse – Substance Misuse Service (Derby) Employer: Service Care Solutions
Location: Derby
Contract: Temporary (initial 3 months, with potential extension)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: £29 per hour (umbrella)

Role Overview We are recruiting for a Registered General Nurse to join a specialist Substance Misuse Service in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in supporting individuals with drug and alcohol dependency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to clients with substance misuse issues.
• Conduct health assessments, including BBV (Blood-Borne Virus) screening.
• Administer medication and monitor withdrawal symptoms.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver care plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with service standards.

Essential Requirements

• Current NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse.
• Experience working in substance misuse or mental health settings.
• Strong assessment and care planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
