Overview
We are recruiting a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 3-bed children’s home in CV3, Coventry. The home is fully furnished, Ofsted-ready, and awaiting registration — now seeking a confident leader to shape the culture, team, and service from day one.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a values-led manager seeking more autonomy, visible impact, and real long-term progression. The provider is newly established and committed to trauma-informed, therapeutic care.
Key Responsibilities
Register and lead the new children’s home through its Ofsted process
Recruit, supervise, and develop a new care team
Deliver person-centred, therapeutic care for children with EBD, CSE, CE and/or LD
Ensure all care and operational standards meet or exceed Ofsted regulations
Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and development of all children in placement
Build strong relationships with families, external professionals, and agencies
Maintain accurate records and prepare for inspection and audit
Lead continuous improvement, quality assurance, and staff development
Essential Criteria
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or enrolled)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within a children’s residential setting
In-depth understanding of safeguarding frameworks and Ofsted regulations
Full UK driving licence
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Desirable Attributes
Previous experience registering or opening a new children’s home
Background in trauma-informed or therapeutic care
Ambition to progress into Responsible Individual or regional leadership roles
Experience supporting children affected by CSE, CE, or complex trauma
