Registered Manager – Homecare / Supported Living
Location: Near to Derby
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per year
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager who is passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred care. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of carers and oversee the care and running of a busy homecare service ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and exceptional client outcomes.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for strategic, operational, and day-to-day leadership of the service. You will:
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of carers, providing supervision, support, and professional development.
- Ensure all clients receive person-centred care, managing assessments, onboarding, care planning, and ongoing reviews.
- Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, and health & safety standards.
- Apply for and hold Registered Manager status with the CQC, accepting full accountability for compliance and quality.
- Share 1-in-5 paid on-call duties covering evenings and weekends.
- Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion while fostering a positive, professional culture.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, monitoring quality, safety, and performance across the branch.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge and experience as a Registered Manager in adult health or social care.
- Excellent CQC experience, with proven ability to manage inspections and implement quality improvements.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in adult care, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Competent in care management systems, Microsoft Office, and operational reporting.
Desirable Skills
- Coaching, mentoring, and training delivery experience.
- Budget and resource management experience.
- Experience with rota management and HR processes.
