
Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys a varied role and is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-focused care within a well-established small-animal practice.
The successful candidate will become part of a dedicated nursing team, rotating throughout the working week between inpatient care, theatre duties, and nurse consultations. You will contribute to a varied small-animal caseload while supporting the practice’s commitment to excellent clinical standards, patient welfare, and client care.
Responsibilities
Providing high-quality nursing care to inpatients
Assisting in theatre and supporting surgical procedures
Delivering nurse consultations and supporting client education
Working collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and support staff
Maintaining clinical standards and contributing to a positive team environment
Participating in the shared weekend and bank holiday rota
Requirements
RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
Previous experience in a small-animal practice
Confidence rotating between inpatient, theatre, and consulting roles
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive, compassionate, and organised approach to nursing care
Working Hours
34 hours per week
1 × 8:30am–6:30pm shift
Remaining shifts: 9:00am–3:00pm
Participation in a 1:5 weekend day rota (currently operating at 1:8)
No weekday or weekend night on-call duties
Shared bank holiday rota
