Job Description:
Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required for a global engineering supplier.
The successful Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will work remotely and be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing an entire sales pipeline across the East Midlands and surrounding areas selling CMM’s, optical microscopes, 3D scanners, surface measurement equipment and tactile and non-tactile metrology products.
The Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will ideally have a technical background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, precision engineering, metrology, cutting tools, machine tools, capital equipment or CNC however product training will be provided.
Package:- £40,000 - £50,000 (£70,000 OTE)

Sales Engineer Responsibilities:- Work remotely and be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing an entire sales pipeline across the East Midlands and surrounding areas selling CMM’s, optical microscopes, 3D scanners, surface measurement equipment and tactile and non-tactile metrology products.
- Build and nurture relationships with key accounts to increase sales and retain important customers.
- Offer technical metrology solutions, present on technical products and attend tradeshows & exhibitions to bring exposure to metrology products.
- Communicate with other engineering departments such as internal sales and applications.
- Generate detailed sales reports through a CRM system.
- Work from home / remote with expected travel to clients across the East Midlands and surrounding areas.
Sales Engineer Requirements:- Ideally a technical background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, precision engineering, metrology, cutting tools, machine tools, capital equipment, CNC or a relatable field.
- Prior experience selling CMM’s, optical microscopes, 3D scanners, surface measurement equipment, tactile and non-tactile metrology products, cutting tools, machine tools or capital equipment is advantageous however product training will be provided.
- Strong presentation skills and prior experience with a CRM system.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ideally located in the East Midlands or surrounding areas.
- Willingness to meet clients across East Midlands and surrounding areas.
