SALES ESTIMATOR | LEICESTER
£28,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Major Recruitment are recruiting for a Sales Estimator to join a long-established and expanding precision engineering business based in Leicester. This is a varied, commercially focused role that will see you dealing daily with estimating enquiries while also developing and building new customer accounts.
Daily Requirements:
Create accurate quotations using CNC manufacturing knowledge and customer drawings
Ensure all customer requirements are clearly understood and communicated to internal teams
Perform contract reviews on successful quotes, confirming correct price, revision level and quantities
Input confirmed data into internal systems including Master Price List
Commercial Responsibilities
Act as first point of contact for customer enquiries (technical and commercial)
Develop new customer accounts and strengthen existing relationships
Schedule Commercial Manager's visits to clients as needed
Coordinate with planning, production control and engineering departments
Confirm capacity and lead times are aligned with customer expectations
Maintain internal databases and ensure information is accurate and up to date
Follow internal company procedures and support with ad hoc tasks as required
Ensure full compliance with company Health & Safety and operational policies
About You – Essential Experience & Skills
Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
Proven experience in estimating, sales, or commercial engineering roles
HND in Mechanical Engineering or a recognised engineering apprenticeship is desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including formulas), Word and Outlook
Confident communicator (written and verbal), fluent in English, with a professional telephone manner
Organised, self-starting team player with the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload
Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
Must be eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
