Sales Manager – Field Sales (Central Region)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager – Field Sales to lead and develop our account management team across the centre of the UK. This is a critical leadership position with direct impact on team performance, customer relationships, and overall business success. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering commercial results, fostering a culture of excellence, and influencing strategic direction across product, process, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing field sales team covering the Northern region, ensuring targets are met or exceeded within set margin parameters.
- Drive dealer acquisition and development throughout the territory, supporting Account Managers (AMs) to achieve optimal results.
- Conduct regular field visits and 1:1s with team members, providing ongoing coaching and development support.
- Hold impactful sales meetings with actionable outcomes focused on performance, growth, and alignment with business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key dealer accounts across the region, prioritising high-value partnerships.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans for underperforming individuals or areas.
- Support the acquisition and performance management of Key Accounts within your territory.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, personal conduct, and adherence to company procedures – both personally and across your team.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to influence wider business areas such as product development, processes, and market competitiveness.
- Act as a voice for your team and regional dealer base to ensure the business offering remains best-in-class.
Required Attributes:
- Proven success in account management within the warranty sector, or demonstrable experience in supplier or insurance-based environments.
- Experience managing or working with dealer networks or within the automotive sector is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial acumen, particularly around risk mitigation and profitable pricing models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate field-based sales teams.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills at all business levels.
- Ability to challenge conventional thinking and propose effective, justified alternatives.
- Creates and fosters a positive, success-oriented team culture.
- Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines consistently.
