Secondary Music Teacher – KS3 & KS4

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Secondary Music Teacher to inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will foster a love of music, develop practical and theoretical skills, and create engaging lessons that motivate students to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess music lessons across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE preparation

• Teach a variety of musical skills, including performance, composition, and music theory

• Encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in students

• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment

• Support extra-curricular music activities such as choirs, bands, or performances

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall music curriculum

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching music at KS3 and KS4, including GCSE

• Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring young musicians

• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

• Commitment to student progress, wellbeing, and engagement in music
