
Secondary Music Teacher – KS3 & KS4
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Secondary Music Teacher to inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will foster a love of music, develop practical and theoretical skills, and create engaging lessons that motivate students to achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess music lessons across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE preparation
Teach a variety of musical skills, including performance, composition, and music theory
Encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in students
Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment
Support extra-curricular music activities such as choirs, bands, or performances
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall music curriculum
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching music at KS3 and KS4, including GCSE
Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring young musicians
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Commitment to student progress, wellbeing, and engagement in music
