Secondary School Maths Teacher

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support students in developing confidence, fluency and problem-solving skills in Mathematics. Responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering structured, differentiated Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience welcomed but not essential)

• Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress to raise attainment

• Creating a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations

• Working collaboratively with the Head of Maths, Teaching Assistants and wider staff

• Adapting teaching strategies to support students with SEND, EAL or additional learning needs

• Building strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues

• Contributing to enrichment opportunities and supporting intervention programmes where appropriate

About You

We are looking for a Maths Teacher who is:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred – ECTs and experienced teachers welcome

• Confident teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4

• Passionate about Mathematics and committed to raising student achievement

• Calm, reflective and consistent in their approach to behaviour management

• A strong communicator who works effectively as part of a team

• Organised, adaptable and confident in managing classroom routines
