Secondary Teaching Assistant (Supply or Full-Time)

Location: Northampton, Corby & Kettering
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Term Time Only
Contract: Supply or Full-Time

About the Role

Aspire People are looking for motivated and confident Secondary Teaching Assistants to support students across KS3 and KS4 in a range of Northamptonshire secondary schools.

This role is ideal for those with experience or interest in supporting young people in academic and pastoral areas. You'll work closely with teachers to ensure every student can reach their potential.

Responsibilities

Provide classroom support across a variety of subjects

Work one-to-one or in small groups with students who need additional help

Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation

Encourage positive learning attitudes and behaviour

Assist pupils preparing for GCSE exams

Requirements

Experience supporting young people aged 11-16 (school or youth setting)

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Resilience and confidence in managing classroom situations

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply through Aspire People)

Full UK driving licence and own vehicle

Available 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only
