Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEND) within a mainstream primary school environment?
We’re looking for experienced and qualified SEND Teaching Assistants to join welcoming and inclusive primary schools in the DE23 area of Derby.

This is a wonderful opportunity for caring, patient, and motivated individuals who are eager to support pupils with SEND, helping them thrive and succeed in a mainstream classroom setting.

You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, and social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children within mainstream classes to access learning across the curriculum.

• Providing one-to-one or small-group SEND intervention support.

• Adapting learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs.

• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.

• Working collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, and parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential.

We welcome applications from qualified and experienced staff, including:
✅ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
✅ Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
✅ Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream primary school
