SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

ABC Teachers are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and support pupils with Special Educational Needs within a primary school in the Tamworth area. If you have experience working with children who have additional needs and are passionate about making a difference, we want to hear from you!

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help pupils achieve their individual learning goals.
• Use a child-centred approach to promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Assist with personal care and ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils.
• Adapt resources and activities to meet the needs of learners and create an inclusive classroom environment.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role offers flexibility, with day-to-day, short-term, and long-term positions available within Tamworth.

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Have experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
• Hold a relevant qualification or demonstrate practical experience in SEN support.
• Be confident in managing challenging behaviour and implementing strategies to promote positive outcomes.
• Possess a DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
• Be adaptable, patient, and committed to helping every child succeed.
