SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Autism Support) – Primary School – Nuneaton A friendly and inclusive
primary school in Nuneaton is looking for a
SEN Teaching Assistant to provide
1:1 support for a young girl with autism. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone patient, caring and committed to helping children succeed in school.
You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SEN team, supporting learning, communication and confidence in a nurturing environment where staff and pupils are truly valued.
The Role- Provide 1:1 classroom support for a pupil with autism
- Help her engage in learning, build independence and develop social skills
- Support communication, emotional regulation and positive routines
- Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs
- Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and parents
- Create a calm, encouraging and supportive learning space
About You- Warm, patient and understanding
- Experience supporting children with autism (desirable)
- Passionate about working with SEND pupils
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Positive, reliable and dedicated to consistent support
