SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 ASD Support, Mornings Only, Rugby
Some pupils need one person who shows up every day, learns what works, and quietly gets on with it. This is that role.
We're recruiting on behalf of a mainstream school in Rugby, Warwickshire. They're looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with an ASD diagnosis. It's a morning-only position - 8:30 am to 1:15 pm, Monday to Friday - on a long-term basis. The school is keen to have someone in place as soon as possible, ideally before the Easter break.
The pupil is intelligent and enjoys conversation, with a particular enthusiasm for trains and Lego. They're also an EAL learner, so clear and patient communication in English matters. Most mornings run well. When things do become overwhelming, the school has a calm, considered approach - a separate space to regulate, Lego available when needed, and a Headteacher who's hands-on and supportive. You won't be left to figure it out alone.

If you're looking to work as a teacher in a mainstream classroom, providing day-to-day supply cover, we're probably not the agency for you. But if you're passionate about supporting students with additional needs and want a long-term role where you can build consistency and see the impact of your work every day, that's exactly what we do.
