SENCO Assistant

Location: Warwickshire

Terms: Full time

Pay: Paid to Scale

A SENCO Assistant supports the SENCO in a primary school by helping organise, monitor, and deliver support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role combines administrative work, pupil support, and coordination with staff and external professionals. As a result, the successful candidate will need to be confident adapting between performing clerical duties as well as being flexible to provide child-focused support within the school where needed.

Below are the typical daily responsibilities you might carry out in a primary school.

1. Supporting Pupils with SEND During Lessons

2. Running Intervention Groups

3. Monitoring and Recording Progress

4. Preparing Resources and Support Materials

5. Supporting the SENCO with Administration

6. Communicating with Staff and Specialists

You may also help coordinate support across the school.

Daily responsibilities might include:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
