
SEND Teaching Assistant – Nottingham & Surrounding Areas
We are recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to work across Nottingham schools, supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs.
Role Overview:
Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support, helping pupils access learning and reach their full potential.
This role may include personal care responsibilities where required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small group SEND support
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
Support pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Assist with mobility and classroom transitions
Support with personal care, including toileting, changing, and hygiene (where required)
Maintain safeguarding and confidentiality at all times
What We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting children with SEND (autism, ADHD, speech & language needs, SEMH, or complex needs desirable)
Comfortable providing personal care support
Patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
Hours:
Typically 8:30am – 4:00pm (lunch included)
Hours may vary depending on the school
