Job Description:

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT / HYBRID. £45 - £55k. RECfinancial are recruiting exclusively for this established Leicester based Accountancy Practice  This Practice takes pride in their retention of staff. They are a progressive, energetic Practice with a growing client base with their eye on utilising Cloud based Accounts packages such as Xero. This is a lead role within a perfectly formed Practice.

WHAT ARE THEY LOOKING FOR AS THE PRACTICE ACCOUNTANT?

Our client is completely open to candidates who are QBE, part or fully Qualified with a career in Practice. What’s important to this firm is the ability to fit in with the rest of team. Personalities here are encouraged, not frowned upon.
Ideally you’ll possess a minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience. Their firm is flexible in its approach and therefore the role could be full time or carried out over 30 hours.

WHAT DOES THE ACCOUNTANT ROLE LOOK LIKE?
Regular responsibilities of this role may include

• Sage Accounts production
• Personal Tax
• Preparation of draft accounts 
• Work with a portfolio of clients, maybe even bringing a small following with you
• Happy to engage clients on a face to face level
• Ensure assignments are managed and work is completed in a timely manner.
• Deliver an excellent level of service, managing and exceeding client expectations
• Maintain up to date technical knowledge

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR AS THE ACCOUNTANT

• AAT / ACA / ACCA part/qualified or QBE.
• Practice experience for a minimum of 5 years.
• Have excellent attention to detail and thrive on exceeding client expectations.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, together with the confidence to network and help to develop the business.
• Be commercially focussed with the ability to deliver innovative solutions.
• Be focussed on self-development as well as having the desire to coach, mentor and develop fellow colleagues.
• Someone who enjoys coming to work and being part of an energetic team.
• A passion to drive the business forward.
• Solid systems knowledge such as Sage/Xero would be ideal but not essential as training will be given.
• On a softer note, someone that doesn't mind have a sleepy and friendly dog in the office.
