Senior Buyer

• Varied role as a Senior Buyer that sees you work alongside the Supply Chain Manager supporting the wider Purchasing team.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer who can manage key suppliers and support operations by planning materials. Experience within an engineering or heavy / capital plant equipment environment would be ideal. This is a really varied Buyer position that involves developing the purchasing team,  negotiating prices on various materials with key suppliers, and ensuring sufficient stock is available.

Salary & Package: Flexible salary depending on experience. 25 days holiday + banks. Wider development opportunities.  

This Senior Buyer job will suit:

• A proven Buyer, preferably within an engineering or industrial environment.

• Organised individual with excellent communication skills.

• Strong supplier management and scheduling experience.

• Ideally have some prior experience using MRP systems.

The Senior Buyer job will involve:

• Purchasing and negotiating engineering materials from  vendors.

• Building relationships with key suppliers.

• Support with the development of the purchasing team. 

• Plan & expedite the required materials to ensure production demands are met whilst maintaining inventory levels.
