Pay Rate: £13.00 – £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 12-hour shifts Paid Breaks

About the Role
Claire at Amber Mace is looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the dedicated team in a friendly nursing home in Leicester, specialising in residential dementia care. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead by example and help deliver high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities

• Providing excellent personal care and emotional support to residents
• Supporting residents living with dementia in a calm, respectful manner
• Leading shifts and supporting junior care staff
• Administering medication (where trained and competent)
• Completing care plans and daily documentation accurately
• Communicating effectively with residents, families, and the wider care team

What we’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant (essential)
• Experience working in a nursing home and/or dementia care setting
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) preferred
• A caring, reliable, and professional approach
• Good leadership and communication skills
