Ready to take ownership rather than just deliver tasks? This is a standout opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to step into a key role within a growing consultancy in Derby, working on high-quality residential and infrastructure projects across the UK.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will manage multiple projects from early concept through to technical approval and delivery. You will lead the production of drainage designs, Flood Risk Assessments and infrastructure packages, while working closely with clients, local authorities and wider design teams. This role suits a Senior Civil Engineer who enjoys responsibility, technical variety and client-facing work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver civil and infrastructure designs for residential developments nationwide.

• Prepare and secure approval for S38, S278 and S104 submissions.

• Produce Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports.

• Undertake cut and fill modelling and site appraisals.

• Use Civil 3D or Causeway PDS alongside Flow or MicroDrainage.

• Manage project workloads, deadlines and quality control.

• Attend client and design team meetings and represent the business professionally.

About You

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering, ideally 2:1 or above.

• Five to six years' UK consultancy experience as a Senior Civil Engineer or strong Civil Engineer ready to step up.

• Working toward or recently achieved chartership with ICE or IStructE.

• Strong knowledge of UK drainage, highway and planning standards.

• Confident, organised and comfortable managing your own projects.
