Job Description:
Senior Design Engineer delivering complex SCADA and control system solutions for rail infrastructure. You'll shape system architecture, develop first‑of‑type solutions, lead engineering best practice, and support projects across the full lifecycle from concept to commissioning.
Responsibilities
Deliver technical solutions for multi‑discipline control and monitoring systems.
Produce system designs, interfaces and integration strategies.
Lead systems engineering activities: requirements, architecture, V&V, traceability.
Provide technical leadership, design assurance and decision‑making.
Apply standards, governance, configuration control and safety compliance.
Collaborate with suppliers, SMEs and customers to resolve issues and manage risk.
Requirements
Strong experience in SCADA/control systems (Power SCADA, M&E, tunnel ventilation, route‑wide systems).
Hands‑on skills with PLC/RTU platforms (A8000, Siemens S7, TIA Portal).
Expertise with modern SCADA platforms, ideally WinCC OA.
Solid systems engineering capability across the V‑model lifecycle.
Proven senior‑level technical leadership in safety‑critical environments.
Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Control/Systems Engineering; Chartered or working toward it.
