Senior Engineer – Ground Investigation

Geotechnics is a well-established ground investigation and geotechnical engineering company with over 40 years of experience supporting the construction industry. From soil and rock investigation to environmental analysis, the team provides critical data and insight to help clients understand the ground beneath their projects. 

Due to continued growth, Geotechnics is looking to recruit a Senior Engineer to join the team in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of ground investigation projects while developing your career within a supportive and people-focused business. 

The Role 

As a Senior Engineer, you will manage ground investigation projects from planning through to reporting. You will work closely with operations teams, liaise with clients and ensure projects are delivered safely on time and to high technical standards. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Managing multiple ground investigation projects at different stages 

• Liaising with clients and internal teams throughout project delivery 

• Preparing project documentation including reports, programmes and testing schedules 

• Ensuring technical, safety and commercial objectives are achieved 

• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers 

• Coordinating site teams and overseeing project progress 

What We’re Looking For 

• Experience working within ground investigation, geotechnical or site investigation projects (not essential) 

• Strong organisational and communication skills 

• Experience managing or coordinating projects and teams 

• Good report writing and technical documentation skills 

• Full UK driving licence 

A degree in geology, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering or similar is advantageous but not essential, as is a geological background.
