The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join the design team, playing a pivotal role in delivering high-quality façade design solutions. This position includes responsibility for leading process development within a small but busy drawing office and contributing to continuous improvement across design workflows.

This is a highly hybrid/remote role, offering flexibility for the right candidate while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams and key project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex façade design packages from concept through to construction, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.

• Drive and oversee design process improvements and standardisation within the drawing office.

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior designers and CAD technicians.

• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, and contractors.

• Ensure all design documentation is delivered accurately, on time, and in accordance with project requirements.

• Participate in internal design reviews and support quality assurance procedures.

• Contribute to innovation in systems, materials, and methods across the design function.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in façade design, ideally within a subcontracting or specialist contractor environment.

• In-depth knowledge of curtain walling, glazing systems, and aluminium façades.

• Strong CAD proficiency (AutoCAD essential; Revit or 3D modelling experience desirable).

• Experience implementing or influencing design process change.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a remote/hybrid working setup.

• Right to work in the UK – visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Desirable

• Familiarity with systems such as Schüco, Reynaers, or similar.

• Understanding of CWCT standards, thermal modelling, and structural considerations.
