£45,000 - £50,000 + benefits (depending on experience)

A specialist ground engineering consultancy in Manchester is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer from either a contractor or consultancy background who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.

You will play a key role in delivering complex geotechnical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and helping lead a highly skilled technical team within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

• Leading and managing geotechnical projects from tender through to delivery
• Supervising and mentoring junior engineers and site staff
• Overseeing ground investigations and site operations
• Producing and reviewing factual and interpretive reports
• Providing technical guidance on foundation design and ground solutions
• Client liaison and project management responsibilities
• Supporting team growth and development

Requirements

• Experience in a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or similar role
• Background in either consultancy or contractor environments
• Strong technical knowledge of ground investigation and geotechnical design
• Experience managing projects and leading teams
• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Full UK driving licence
