This Loughborough based organisation is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team, applying your mechanical design engineering expertise to lead design and development programs, for products used in applications, predominantly within the Automotive and Aerospace sectors.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer within this job, you will be responsible for:

• Mechanical Design of new systems and products.
• Ensuring the effective delivery of design and development programmes.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Identifying new suppliers and appropriate new realisation methodologies.
• Ensuring appropriate engineering processes and tools are used.

The requirements for the Leicestershire based Senior Mechanical Design Engineer job are:

• Must be experienced with Surface Modelling.
• Mechanical Design Engineering experience.
• Degree-Qualified or equivalent in Engineering or a related Science.
• Demonstrable experience of managing product design projects.
• A sound understanding of design process.
• Ability to inspire a team of engineers.
