The Opportunity

As the Senior Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading day-to-day production output across a busy, multi-shift site. You’ll drive operational excellence, ensure safe and efficient processes, and develop high-performing teams across manufacturing, engineering, and site support functions.

You’ll join a business that has doubled in size over recent years and is continuing to scale. This role is ideal for someone who wants true ownership, the autonomy to improve how things are done, and a clear path into more senior operational leadership as the site grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily site operations across multiple shifts, ensuring output, quality, and safety targets are consistently achieved
• Manage, develop, and mentor Team Leaders and Supervisors
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, embedding lean principles and efficient ways of working
• Oversee workforce planning, shift structures, training, and succession planning
• Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to minimise downtime
• Ensure compliance with all SHEQ standards, environmental controls, and operational procedures
• Implement KPIs and performance frameworks to improve productivity
• Contribute to strategic planning, investment decisions, and site-wide improvement initiatives

About You

We’re looking for a hands-on and commercially astute Operations Manager who is ready to step up into a bigger leadership role. The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience in operations or production management within a manufacturing, industrial, or process-led environment
• A proven track record of leading teams in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent knowledge of SHEQ, quality systems, and operational best practice
• A continuous improvement mindset, with experience implementing new processes or driving operational change
• The ability to influence, coach, and bring people with you during periods of growth
• A desire for career progression within a rapidly expanding business
