Senior Planner

Job Description:

I am working with a leading main contractor that delivers large-scale, complex construction and civil engineering projects across the UK. They are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join their team, supporting projects across sectors including industrial, logistics, multi-room, retail, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project programmes from tender stage through to completion.

• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks and advising on recovery strategies.

• Prepare detailed tender programmes, method statements, and phasing plans.

• Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure programme accuracy and integration.

• Attend client and project team meetings, providing planning expertise and updates.

• Support the company’s culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a planning role within a main contractor environment.

• Strong knowledge of Asta Powerproject (essential) and MS Project.

• Experience working on large, multi-million-pound construction projects.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams while also taking ownership of planning responsibilities.
