
A leading employee-owned planning consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join its growing team in Rugby. Known for delivering expert multidisciplinary advice across the UK development sector, this practice offers a collaborative environment and diverse project portfolio spanning both the private and public sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planning professional with at least 3 years of experience to work alongside specialists in urban design, architecture, transport and infrastructure, sustainability engineering, environmental services, and planning research and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Provide commercial planning advice to a wide range of clients
Prepare high-quality planning reports, applications, and submissions
Liaise with technical consultants and manage project teams
Build and maintain strong client relationships through networking and engagement
Represent client interests throughout the planning process
Engage proactively with local planning authorities and stakeholders
Contribute to the growth and success of the Rugby office
Candidate Requirements
Degree in Planning or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years' experience in a planning role (public or private sector)
Strong understanding of UK planning policy and procedures
Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to delivering high standards of work
