Senior Pricing Analyst

Job Description:

SF Recruitment is working with a commercially focused business to recruit a Pricing Analytics Lead into their wider finance and commercial team. This is a high-profile role with strong exposure to senior stakeholders, offering the opportunity to influence pricing strategy, margin performance, and commercial decision-making.

This position would suit a commercially minded analyst with a finance background who enjoys working with data, understanding business performance, and partnering with stakeholders to drive better outcomes. You will take ownership of pricing insight while also supporting broader financial analysis across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and develop pricing analysis to support margin, profitability, and commercial objectives

• Analyse financial and pricing performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning through pricing and margin insight

• Provide regular reporting and analysis to commercial and finance stakeholders

• Translate financial and pricing data into clear, actionable recommendations

• Work closely with sales, finance, and operational teams to support commercial decision-making

• Support improvements to financial models, reports, and processes to improve insight and efficiency

• Contribute to performance reviews, helping explain variances and drivers of profitability

Skills and Attributes:

• Background in a finance analyst, commercial analyst, or pricing-focused role

• Strong understanding of margin, profitability, and financial performance

• Experience producing management information and commercial reporting

• Ability to communicate financial insight clearly to non-finance stakeholders

• Confident working with senior stakeholders and challenging assumptions where appropriate

• Proactive, analytical, and commercially focused mindset

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture

• Experience in a B2B, distribution, or multi-site environment would be advantageous

• Experience with SQL highly advantageous 
• Strong Excel skills essential
